For our customer from the automotive industry, we designed a free-standing automatic station for pressing bearings and circlips into bricks. The device is equipped with a powerful servo press with a force of 200kN, which meets the customer’s requirements for pressing force. A specific feature of the development of this device was the development of a solution that would reliably detect both the presence as well as the orientation and position of the pressed bearing and the circlip and at the same time meet all the requirements for the pressing process. An important part of the development was the design and concept of a circlip feeder that would work reliably with both different types of circlips. Due to the fact that the pressed parts are loaded manually, increased safety requirements were also placed on this device. When designing this device, we also considered the possibility of its expansion and easy adaptation to press other types of parts. The whole device is free-standing and very easy to move, which allows the customer great variability in the layout of the entire production line.
